A GRATIFYING REPORT

A sound financial position is disclosed in the Gisborno Savage Club's animal report, which has been compiled for submission to the, annual general meeting on Wednesday evening, April .Id. Special mention is made of the much-appreciated donalions of money, food, and clothing to the club's relief fund.

"The statement of receipts and expenditure shows a credit balance iu the Bank, of Australasia.' of £4O 14s KHI; also a credit balance in the Post Office Savings Bank of £-187 9s ;id, plus interest to March 31, BttO, of £l9 Gs 10(1., making a total credit of £506 Ills Id. For the sixth year in succession there are no outstanding subscriptions. Ten kororos wore held during the season, and the club was honored with visits from the Wellington and Wairoa Savage Clubs, and the Rotorua Orphans, During the season several members of our club paid a visit to the Wairoa Savage Club, and supplied the second half of the programme

"The relief fund account in the Post Office Savings Bank stands at £lB5 14s 4d., plus interest to March 31, .1920, £;i 16s lOd, making a total of £lB9 lis 3d. The thanks of the committee are due to the numerous donors of 'money, clothing ami stores, etc.. to enable us to carry out this very necessary work. Special thanks are due to the members of the Wellington Sirvage Club for the handsome results of their efforts in respect of a concert organised by them in aid of our relief fund, whereby the sum of £K Is was raised; to Messrs Cardston and Baxter for their efforts on behalf of tllO fimo fund, whereby a sum was raised by means of a musical revue; to Mrs Beer thanks ate also due for the excellent manner in which she has carried out her arduous duties as our honorary welfare officer of the relief fund. A suitable presentation was made in recognition of her services. "It is with deep regret, that Ave have to record, during the past season, the loss by death of Savage Lionel Clare.

"The executive desires to place on record their appreciation of the valuable services rendered by performers at the various koreros, especially the orchestra, under Savage M. L. Poster, who again excelled themselves during the past season.
