-—• i THE BURTON CUP OPENING GAMES YESTERDAY Tho annual tournament under the auspices of the Gisborne Bowling Centre for the Burton Cup commenced yesterday on the Gisborne find KtihutitK greens, piny being officially opened by Mr. D. G. Robertson on the Gisborne green, and Mr. \V. .I*. Hueston at Kahutin. Yesterday's games were played in perfect weather conditions, but the rain which set in at about >S a.m. 10-day prevented play this morning.
