The lower peak of Mount Rolleston was climbed last week by Miss Alice M'Leod, Mr. V. Wilson, ‘ Mr. Jeffrey Adams and Guide Oscar Coberger. The climbers took tho old route, and found that tho earthquake had , made little difference to the danger of tho trip. No attempt was made to climb tho higher peak, as there is a good deal of cliff work, and a slight ’quake while this was being negotiated would have been dangerous.
