London University, yesterday accepted with cordial thanks the offer of the Czeeho-Slovalc Government of a, sum of £35,000 to £45,C0) to provide a building for a school ot Slavonic languages, which is at present a Department of Kings College, LondtTho offer is stated to he the outcome of the Czecho-Slovak Governments desire to acknowledge publicly, m the tenth vear of Czeclio-Slovak independence, tho significance of the school ol Slavonic studies in London as a centre for promoting a knowledge of Slav countries and their civilisation.
