WRECKED COLLIER
SURVIVORS’ STORIES SANK IN EIGHT MINUTES (Flee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received February 9,2 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 9. The Anne M. Miller, which sank last night, according to survivors’ stories, capsized and sank within eight minutes. One man was in his bunk when lie was thrown out on to the deck and then plunged into the water. Ho was later picked up by the boat. The six men in the heat was almost exhausted when rescued by the pilot steamer. They tuld graphic stories of their experiences. Tho Captain Cook and two other steamers searched for tho six missing men until an early hour unavailingly. It is now thought I hat some of those missing were trapped in their hunks and drowned before they could reach tho deck.
The names of the men believed to bo drowned /are: Captain Pilling, Joint Wilson, E. Rowera, Andrew Anderson, 11. Andrews, and P. Brennan.
