NEW CLAUSES REVEALED DIVORCE NOT RECOGNISED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received Feb. 9,2 p.m. ROME, Feb. 8. The full text of the treaty shows two clauses hitherto not mentioned. One relating to religious instruction provides that; the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart at Milan shall be regarded in all respects as equal to (he Italian State universities, but its professors may only be appointed with the approval of the Archbishop of Milan, in order to prevent the university losing ils religious character. 'J'he other danse establishes that all matrimonial questions are within the exclusive competence of the ecclesiastical authority. Divorce naturally will not exist. A compromise has been reached regarding legal separation, in which the Rope agreed to a promise that “separations would be allowed/’ but only State courts will grant separations.
