SALVATION ARMY HEAD

DECISION NEXT WEEK COUNCIL’S PROGRAMME (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.' (Received Feb. 9, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Fob. 8. The parties to the Salvation Arniy dispute have mutually arranged that Mr. Jowitt, K.C., will present General Booth’s case to the High Council on Wednesday at a sitting in London. There have been no further meetings at Sunbury owing to the inconvenience of travelling. It is intended at present that as soon as Mr. Jowitt has finished, the council will submit its resolution. If the Sunbury majority to depose General Booth is repeated, the council will proceed to the election of a new general. Probably the election will be a straight-out contest between Commissioners lliggins and Eva Booth. It is recalled that five were nominated at Sunbury, but Commissioner: Hay, Lamb and Rich dropped out after the feeling of the meeting had been tested, and it is not expected that thev will seek reuonnnation.
