Expressions of dissent were raised at the meeting of the Wairurapa Farmers’ Union recently, when it, was asked to approve a demand for the establishment of a Wool Realisation Board. Some members maintained, however, that a board was needed. Mr. W. Column contended that the agency charges on wool, on a percentage basis, wore unreasonably high. Ho t ook except ion also to the deduction of- 4lbs. weight on every bale of wool. Mr. A. Clark said that years ago tho Farmers’’ Union bought .woolpacks for its members, and that lie did not see why it should not do so now. Mr. Column said he* thought that the Meat Board, Dairy Board, and a Wool Board should all be united in one organisation. Mr W. B. Martin observed that he would have no objection to a Wool Board to deal with such matters as had been mentioned, but did not favor the idoa of a board to control the marketing of wool. Xo resolution was passed. “RCXLEX” OYSTER WATCH. The world’s wonder wristlet watch. Absolutely waterproof, dust-proof, bentproof, cold-proof, and perspiration proof.
