The flock of Southdowns offered were a splendid lot, and prices were maintained, the average probably being 12 guineas. The highest price for flock lines was 21 guineas, obtained by A. C. Other two-tooth ewes sold at £1 9s lOd, £1 Ss 7d, and £1 8s (id. Medium 2-th owes made £1 3s 9d, and a pen lacking condition £1 Is. Bix and eight-tooth ewes in good store condition were passed at £1 (is Bd, and 4 and 6-ths at £1 6s. A pen of 4, 6 and 8-th ewes from Mr. Barns-Braham’s station, sold at £1 8s 7d. A pen of 5-year ewes in good condition made £1 4s, other pens of this age making round about £1 Is. A good pen of 6-year owes, with good frames, condition and skins, was passed at £1 Os 6d. A pen of 300 4-th to 4-year ewes, with heavy skins and in fairly good order, 'sold at £1 4s, and a pen of 5 and 6-year ewes, with great size and condition, passed at £1 2s, and a pen of the same age, big-boned and. fat, made £1 Is.

Although some good prices / were realised for lambs, lambs generally are easier than they were three or four weeks ago. One of the best pens of woolly lambs yarded this season, with great'size and condition, made £l, and other good pens realised 17s 7d and 17s 3d. A pen of shorn lambs, big and active, made 17s l(Jd, and another lot of big shorn lambs sold at 15s 4d. Fair sorts of shorn cull lambs made from 10s to 12s. Good 3-tooth wethers made £1 as 9d and £1 ss. Strong-skinned’ ordinary conditioned wethers sold at £1 4s /d, and a pen of small 2-tgoths with rough skins was passed at 19s 6d.
