INTENSE HEAT
BRISBANE, Jan. 22. The heat which raged over the centralwest last week reached the climax on Saturday, when 113 degrees registered at Longreach. This is the highest ten perature recorded since 1918. Jn several outside districts the temperature reached as high as 125 degrees.
