CLAIM FOR £3047
ARAPUNI DAM OPERATIONS (Per Press Association.) CAMBRIDGE, bust night. Arising out of the Arapuni dam operations, a claim for £3047 compensation for 240 acres of land, together with the road access submerged by the lake foi Hied, was brought by John Francis MeGechi* and Walter Frederick Woodward, farmers, of Pukiatu, against tho Public Works Department, at Cambridge to-day, Mr. Justice Blair presiding. The plaintiffs claimed that the value of the land lias been reduced by £2OOO, the balance of the claim being made up in depreciation and general disadvantages. The greater part of to-day was spent in an inspection of the locality.
