THE NEW YEAR
PREMIER'S GREETINGS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this cay. The following New Year message vas issued by the Prime Minister to-day: "Oh the closing of the year, I express to my fellow citizens the heartiest of good wishes for 1929. There are solid grounds for predicting prosperous times for the Dominion, and in this prosperity I sincerely hope that all may share. I need hardly say that no effort will be wanting on the part of myself and my colleagues in the Government to do everything possible to advance the veilbeing of all classes of our p°opie. To one and all I extend my best wishes for a bright and happy New Year.—Joseph Ward, Prime Minister.
