RADIOPHONE ON NEW YORK TO CHICAGO PASSENGER ’PLANES
CHICAGO, November 16
Radio telephony for airplanes to keep in touch with airports during flight is being installed on the New York-Chicago aerial route, it was announced on Thursday. Engineers have succeed in perfecting plane-to-ground and grouncLto-plane radio telephony, it was said, enabling pilots to keep in communication with their bases while in flight.
