Mr. Justice Fr'azer, in a reserved judgment delivered in Auckland to-day, ordered ft writ of mandamus to be issued compelling the TakapuM Borough Council to consider and approve of a subdivisional plan respecting property contiguous to Lake Pupuke and owned by, D. 0. Mowbray. Owing to further rain and unsettled weather in Palmerston North to-day no play was possible in the Hawke Cup match, Rangitikei v. Manawatu. A postponement was made until tomorrow.
Edward John Samuel, a middle-aged commission agent, was charged in Auckland to-day on 18 counts of obtnihinß credit by fraud. The amount involved exceeds '£2ooo. (Proceeding.)
