STRANDED STEAMER
TUG GOES TO ASSISTANCE (Received Oct. 1.0, 3 p.m.i SYHNFA. Oct. 10. fn connection with the stranding of the freighter Kinross, laden with phosphate- tiom Nauru for Melbourne, on Cato Island reef, the salvage tug Forceful is going in her assistance from Bris bane. The Kinross was built in 1918 for rim Sutherland S.S. Co.. by Sir I!. .Dixon. and Co.. at. their Middlesbrough yards. She is a cargo steamer of 5234 tons, and is engaged in the carriage of phosphates from Nauru Island. Oji her last- visit to New Zealand she arrived at Wellington on August 4. under Captain 11 Patlison, and sailed on August 8,
