SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS
APPLICATION POR RE-TRIAL (P<>r Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At. the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Air. H P. Lawny adjourned till to-morrow an application lor re trial madi; by Robert William Alle.p, 18,. who w*s sentenced to two years in a Borstal institute yesterday for receiving stolen goods. Counsel for prisoner said Allen had been induced to plead guilty by a certain detective who promised him that if 1,0 pleaded guilty no harm would come |to him. Allen said he was innocent ot the charge.
