UNREST IN CANADA AUSTRALIAN TREATY ATTACKED (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) OTTAWA, July 22. A report from Oshawa, Ontario, states that the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. John Martin, Ontario, addressed a picnic on Saturday, at which the Dominion Conservative leader, Mr. Bennett, who also spoke, criticised the Australian treaty, saying it had worked grave injustice to' Canada. Saskatchewan had played a prominent part in protesting against the treaty. It could no longer be said that Ontario or the East was forcing the issue. Mr. Martin said that one of the principal reasons for the Conservative vie-*, toiy in British Columbia was the fact that the fruit and vegetable growers and farmers in the province were finding it difficult to make a living.
