An application by the Hawke's Pay Education Hoard lor the construction of a shelter for the Tiniroto school was referred to in a letter from the Education Department to the board at its monthly meeting in Napier on Friday. The department advised that the application for a giant would leceive consideration in due course, hut that it was of the opinion that for an expenditure of, .say, £3O, suitable accommodation could he provided. It was decided to notify the department that the work could not be done for loss than £SB.
