ENTRIES COME IN WELL

Although some degree of apathy has been displayed on the part of members with regard to attending meetings, there is apparently no lack of intercat in the 33rd annual trials promoted by'the Poverty Bay Sheep Dog Trial Club, which are to commence on Monday, for the entries, which eluso tonight, have been coming in freely. The result should be four welli-filled classes, in which a good type of dog should be competing. Apart from prominent Poverty Bay dog men, those of the Coast, Wairoa, and Tangoio should he represented. In addition, considerable success has been attained in the arrangement of a special prize list, The trials are to take place on Hie Gisborne Sheepfarmors' Frozen Meat and Mercantile Co.'s paddock at Kaiti, and on the opening day a start will be made at 9 a.m., thereafter at- 8 a.m. As the whole of the entries have not yet been received, it is impossible, to say when the first result will be made available, hut it is thought if will not be until Tuesday that the first class will be completed. The meet will open with (ho head, pull and hold in ring, to ho followed by head, pull and yard, the zigzag hunt away, and the straight liiinfaway. Mr. A. A. Anderson, of Kanakanaia. who has officiated successful IV at past trials in Gisborne, will again be the judge.
