(Herald Correspondent.) IVirs. 0. Tod presided at the monthlj meeting of the Women's Institute, held at Sister May's. The following also were present: Mesdames Arthur, IS. Black. Brewster, V. Black, Duley, Hickling, A. Kirk, McKenzie, Porter, Steele, Stokes, K. Stewart, T. Stewait, R. Sturm, W, Sturm, Shaw, Tod, Niri, Whaanga, f. Kahu, Faulkner, P. Mitchell, Graham, Sisters May and Bennett, and Miss Turner. Mew members, proposed were Mesdames Semmens, Graham, Eames and Richardson and Miss Eames. A number of aprons were exhibited, Mrs. V. „ Black winning the first prize. " The" Dignity of Labor," was the subject for discussion, and papers were read by Sister May and Mesdames Kirk and HUeklmg., Tbe hostesses were Mesdames Brewster. Arthur and Bluck. Tho May meeting is to he on behalf of the League of Nations, and Mr. T. Todd, of Gisborne, will be. tho speaker.
