IRRIGATION PROBLEMS
COMMISSION TO INQUIRE (Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. Following representations from users of irrigated land in Central Otago regarding a number of complaints of an inadequate water supply, high charges, and other difficulties, the Government lias set up a. committee of investigation, including Mr. C. J. McKenzie, assistant Engineer-in-Chlef of the, Public Works (Department, as chairman, three 01 ago farmers, and officials of the Lands and Agriculture Departments, (o report on all questions. There has also been an investigation into engineering and economic aspects of the proposed extension of irrigation in Central Otago.
