PANIC AT A FETE
174 INJURED IN SABRE CHARGE. STRASBOURG, March 3. No fewer than 174 people were injured in a sabre charge by mounted police at Munich Ibis morning, when jianic seized a. great crowd of people taking part in a carnival fete, as a result of a practical joker throwing a- firecracker among the revellers. Believing that- Communists were throwing bombs, the crowd dashed wildIv in all directions, bri'aking through the police cordon and rushing panicstricken along the street. Mounted and foot police moved forward and drove the mob back by force of arms. Ten arrests were made.
