Discusing trade within the British •Empire, Mr. Bell said that New* Zealand considered the Mother Country her best customers, She had reciprocal tariffs with the sister dominions. “The people of Mew Zealand feel that we are members of one family,” he continued, “and that we must all stand together, even in the matter of trade. Some people say that sentiment should not enter into trade relations, but sentiment does count in that so far as New Zealand is concerned. Furthermore, she is willing to pay higher prices to the Mother Country and sister dominions than to foreign, countries.”
