Speaking of Hie prospects for the first Napier wool sale of .the season, 1o be held next, week, a representative of one of the Gisborne firms stated today that though the prices should show an upward tendency this should lie more on account of the bettor condition of the clips than owing to any increased demand. The wool generally was of infinitely better quality than it was last season, and it was in this fact that he expected an improvement, in the prices. Attention is 'called to the annual (lower, produce and vegetable show and bazaar, to he held in the Kaitaratahi Halt to-morrow. Good entries have been received, the number of flowers being well above (lie average. It will be the only rose show to he held this year and everything points to a successful function. Mr. T. Ji. Spence, chairman' of the Waikohu County Council, will officially open the show.
