Tim newspaper Lit Preiisa voices a demand that the Government should facilitate the active Immigration of British people into Argentina. It urges tlm desirability ol British immigrants, and calls attention to the unemployment in Britain.
1 lie newspaper stales: "Britain s surplus population is our lack. Our need of immigrants is not so peremptory that, we must sacrifice quality for quantify. The incorporation of British people into Argentine society lias always had happy results. The British in Argentine have never played collective politic. -., and have always had an ingrained respect- lor the law. While they have conserved a deep affection for their Homeland they have never been morbidly, noisily patriotic.” The newspaper deplores what it terms (he Government’s lack of initiative in attracting British immigrants.
