FIGHTING AT TSINGTAO SOUTHERNERS REPULSED (Australian nnd N.Z. Cablo Association.! (Received July 11, 12 a.m.) SHANGHAI, -Inly 10, The Tsingtao crisis is reported to have ended. Chenghsin was routed by Sun Chnan Eang, who was co-operat-ing with Chang Chung-Chang, a Shantung militarist.
Railway communication between Tsingtao and ihn inland cities has been restored, principally owing the patrolling by Japanese troops. In the meantime the main Shangtung army is locked m combat with a vanguard of Cantonese in the vicinity of Lincheng. It is claimed that the Southerners have been repulsed. A conference is in progress between tho garrison commanders of the five foreign Towers regarding the defence of Tietsin.
