TWO MURDERS IN ONE DAY WINNIPEG, June 14. The city was startled on Saturday by Hie murder of Mrs, Paterson in it. room adjoining one .where her two infants were cheerfully playing. Both victims lta'd been choked to dentil, a t.ul the visiting policemen quickly identified the killer as the so called “Gorilla,” a (lend who has strangled more than 20 women in the United States within a. year.
Ho started operations in Portland (Oregon), and lias left a trail of horror from San Diego (Cal.) to Chicago.
