Mr. George William Stewart, an old resident of Danuevirke who died tecent lv, might be termed a .Maori War veteran, since he helped his father to deliver milk to tlm barracks and residents in New Plymouth in spite of warnings from the Maori rebels. The hitC .Mr. Stewart, who was 75 years of age, formerly resided in the Kimholion districts. He left a widow, five daughters and four sons.
