MEMORANDA

Intending exhibitors arc reminded by advertisement that entries close for the I'. B. l'oultry and Cage Bird Show, at -Mr Nasruith's shop to-night. The popular fairy tale of "Sleeping Beamy," to be presented in an operetta by the pupils of Misses Millar and Gallichan at the Opera House on Thursday, Friday and Saturday- next, is being eagerly looked forward to by tlie children. As usual, Misses Millar and (Jallichan have gone to great expense and trouble in the matter of costumes, staging and effects. The moon scent* and the quaint doings of the men in the moon, tiie palace of the King, the woods and the fairies will be enjoyed by all, and full houses should • lie secured. Of all entertainments given during the last few years none have so appealed to children as these juvenile operettas, which give a lasting impression of these ever popular fairy tales.

An instructive address will be given in the Adventist Church on Sunday. night by Evangelist Battye, entitled, "Feeling the world's pulse; is it growing old?" The lecture will be preceded by a song service. The Druids' annual ball will he held this year as usual, on Steeplechase night, in the Assembly Hall. By adveitisement it is announced that a meeting of the social committee, to make arrangements for the same will be'held in the Liberty Hall on Tuesday evening next.
