Civil aviation is to be separated from the Military Department of Defence to nieet the growing needs of civil flying. Branches will be organised to coi.trol flying, administrative duties and aeronautical engineering.
WORLD'S RECORD CLAIMED
PERTH (W.A.), June 10.
To the end of May the North-west Airway Service has flown 798,254 miles without any untoward incident.! Two of the pilots have flown 2000 flying hours, the only incident being a broken propeller' which was not due to tho aviator. This is claimed as an Australian record, and possibly, a world's record.
