The quarterly meeting of the Wairoa Fire Beard was held an Thursday. Present: Messrs. J. Corkill, J. W. Nome, W. G. Hay, J. S. Black, and T. H. Stewart (superintendent). Tho quarterly report stated that Messrs. J. Cooke, S. Thomson and -K. Thomson had-boon accepted as members. The question of appointing fire police was deferred. The resignations of Messrs. P. Eddy and W. J. Hick were received. Mr. W. G. Hay was appointed delegate to the conference to be held in August. Permission was given to the brigade to instal a, billiard table at the station. Several matters were left over to be dealt with when the estimates are being framed. ; ~
