Dog-brooders are trying to lengthen tho bulldog's head, and thus afford him a Longer expectation of life than the present average of six years, which is largely due to his impaired breathing apparatus, owing to his nose being set. too fur back in the head. Mr. Roger Boulton, secretary ol! the Bulldog (Hub, says that future bulldogs will posses brick-shaped heads, making their lives more comfortable, and obviating the present strain on their hearts when they work off their energy by jumping about, for which they are too heavy in view of their handicapped breathing.
