An application for assistance in financing the showing of a Poverty Bay court at the Auckland Winter Show- was received by the Poverty Bay Power Board to-day. The chairman, Mr. F. K. Ball, stated that the finance committee had preferred that the board should deal with the request. Members of the board agreed that the exhibit would be a good advertisement for the district, and that the organisers were to be congratulated on their energy. The board decided, on the motion of Mr. I. Mirfielct, to donate £5 5s to the project.
