Continuing the debate on the Trades Union Bill, Mr. Philip Snowden said there was design in the ambiguity of the Dill. The Government hid t lie real int cut ions in a mass of verbiage, leaving the interprotaI ion to the courts. Mr. Winston Churchill, in summing up the debate, said no country in Ine world could compare with Britain's record for strikes and industrial stoppages. Had the country deserved it: (Labor cries: "Yes.") Mr. Churchill: We have only got to go on tearing each other to pieces to injure the country beyond the power of any party or Government to repair. Considerable Labor interruption led Mr. Churchill to say: " 1 do not want to cast my pearls where they arc not wanted. " The guillotine fell amidst an uproar, and the Hill was read a third time by .'bit votes to L!!>, whereupon a few Laboriti's attempted lo sing '' Utile I'.ritaiinia.''
