PROGRESS REPORT TO POWER BOARD A progress report upon I lip working oui of tin' reticulation plan adopted by tho P.P. Power Board was submitted to to-day's meeting of the board by tlie consulting orgineer. Mr. J. I!. Tempim. The report was as follows: — ".Mr. C. Mol'tatt, pole erection contractor, has completed tJio erection ol the 11,000 volt pole line between Patulalii and Waipaoa freezing works, also from Wnipaoa to Te Kaiaka and Pnba. An extension lias been made along Ihe Motu road as far as Mr. Holclworth's residence and back towards 'l'e Kararca as far as .Mr. Dymoek's. Tlie main Tuba road Inwards Whatatutn has been poled as far as Mr. M(l.ean's residence. A special pole construction has been placed in the river bed between To Karaka and I'uha. and 1 am pleased to state has resisted the reccnl Hoods, although other pole crossings have been washed away. The country wiring ganj has completed the hack Ormond road mains, including the main K.11.'1. line from Patutahi via Harper's road to drey's 11 ill and have effected all service's en route. They have also com pleted the H.T. line from the Bridge Hotel. Matawhero, to Alaniitukc village.

••The K.11.T. from the Gnvemmem substation at Patutahi has been coin pleted lo about two miles beyond Paullahi village on tlie Westmcre road, and in order to save time we have taken one circuit along the Westmcre road on to the Waipaoa works. From Waipnoa, the inland course has been cabled partly to Te Karakn : and the necessary hart cable should arrive in a day or two.

The canvass has been pushed well ahead of the pole contractor, and in all cases we have secured guarantees more than covering the respective areas. "Four blocks have recently _ been issued to th:> contractors, i.e., Te Kaiaka Puha, Patutahi and the Main Ormond road, from Makaraka to Graham's road. beyond Ormond. 'the canvass is now being made in Waorenga-o-kitri, Valley road, and the Kaiti merged ,'lira. In the power house all wiring work has been completed for the A.C. auxiliaries, and the piping for (he moling power alternative water cooling service, together with hot well, also water softener service pipes. A meter hoard change-over gang are operating in Whatanpoko, and new boards are erected where necessary and the removed boards reconditioned for re-erection."
