In connection with the frozen meat' export trade, it is interesting to note that the insurance rates on frozen meat have steadiy decreased during the last two or three years. It is stated that this is largely contributed to by the improvements which the Meat Producers Board has been able to effect in conjunction with, tlie shipping companies, in connection With the loading and unloading of New Zealand meat. Not only is the bettor handling of the meat reflected in lower insurance costs, but it is also shown in a marked degree in tho appearance of the meat when displayed at Smithfield market.
