The Toronto Globe's special correspondent reports that Genera] Pershing, speakinir at the commencement excises at Princeton, New Jersey, University, said: "If the Allies had been unable to hold the line for 15 months while America got ready we might not have been able to get into the war at all; or if we had gone in we would have, had to fight it alone."
