THE ADDINGTON SALE. HEAVY ENTRIES OF FAT STOCK: EASING IN VALUES. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. At the Aldington market the entries were heavy in the fat stock sections, particularly sheep, and there was an easing in 'values. Fat cattle were a shade slacker. Store sheep.—llie small entry included a number of threequarter-bred lambs which sold well. Ewes sold a shade better, whilst wethers maintained late rates. Fat Lambs.—There was a small entry of 1300 head, and an excellent sale, values being up on last week by Is 6d a head. Fat sheep.—There was a heavy oversupply, comprising 15 races, compared with recent averages' of 9j races. The sale was back 3s for practically all classes but one on last week's high values. Nevertheless, considering the big over-supply, it was a. very satisfactory sale. Extra prime heavy wethers made 38s to 44s 3d; prime wethers 33s to 36s 6d ; medium wethers 29s to 32s 6d; light wethers 25s to 28s 6d; extra prime ewes 34s to 36s 7d; prime ewes 27s 6d to 31s 6d; medium ewes 23, s 6d to 275; light ewe s 19s to 235; aged ewes 13s to 18s 6d, Fat cattle.—There was an entry of 590 as against 615 last week. Values were up to 20s per head lower 'for general classes of beef. A few choice pons made up to 37s per 1001 b. Good prime realised 32s' 6d to 355; medium quality 29s to 325; heavy 28s tu 325; inferior steer and medium cow beef 24s to 26s 6d; and rough beef down to 20s per 1001 b.
