ALLEGED CATTLE SICK LAND

In the alleged 'cattle sick land case Samuel' Burtdn, M.Tt.C.V.S,, formerly Government veterinarian, who investigated the bush sickness at Maniaku and cattle sickness at Tokoroa, said the two maladies were vastly dittertiii, The'Maniaku sickness was due to ground glcs.s in the soil being pulled tip when the stock were grazing. The Tokoroa sickness was due to a deficiency of iron. He would prefer the Tokoroa land for dairying to any land in New Zealand. Soyeral tanners of Tokoroa' declared they were well satisfied with the results of dairying there, being troubled with very little, sickness.
