A motorist, Jack Osmond, was charged before Mr. K. C. Levvey, S.M,, this morning with passing a stationary tram in Gladstone road. Mr. T. A. Coleman, for the defendant, pleaded not guilty. Evidence of the defendant having passed the tram was giyen ny Sergeant Dempsey, who .was a passenger on ,fho car; he stated that the tram had cither, just stopped, or was actually stopping, mid the car was travelling at about; 25 miles an hour.
