FRESH OUTBREAK

A message from Kansas City stales that a fresh outbreak of Hoods heavily damaged sections of Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas wheat regions. Kansas is the most heavily bit. The damageis estimated already to have, exceeded £40,000. Procluction throughout the section has [ slackened, and 2b per cent, of 'the reapers have been forced to quit, with tbe crops ball' gathered. The Cottonwood rivers are steadily rising, and several towns near Emporia hava been cut off, and Hood warnings are widespread as lessor streams rise, threatening to inundate more holds and towns. Lakes have overflowed, causing heavy damage of summer cottages and homes. Tiny streams have assumed mile-wide proportions, covering hundreds of acres of farm lands. .Smaller towns are isolated.
