INTERPRETATION OF AWARD (Per Press Association.) WEIJJNCTf'N, this day. The Arbitration Court yesterday gave judgment in the .application lor an interpretation of a clause in the Dominion Painters' Award. A firm of wholesale grocers in Auckland employed a mm and * two youths in painting work, renovating after a fire, and paying less than award rates of wages. The Court considered the ■, firm was a subsequent party to the award, and bound by its provisions, the work being done on the firm's premise* and undertaken in order to enable it to. carry on business therein, that is for indirect pecuniary gain. j
