The fascinating winter pastime of roller skating will be revived in Gisborne at the Gaiety Skating Rink tomorrow evening under the management of iMr. D. Ombotto. A feature of this season's opening will be that all the skates for sale or hire are new. Patrons will be well catered' for in the matter of instruction and supervision. The skate room will be in charge of ft first-class mechanic. Owners of skates are requested to (?ee that they are in good order, as the floor has just been renovated. Large attendances are anticipated. Refreshments will be available at the rink.

,-U St. David's Presbyterian (Jhurch. Kaili, the members of the Young Women's Bible-class, assisted by Bibleclass members of local churches, recently gave an enjoyable entertainment. Bongs were contributed by Misses Lois Daws, itimu Holmes, Marjorie Bloore, Edith Morrison, Alex. Thomson, Nancy Wilson, PrisciHa Havkess, and Ida Peterson, while- recitations and character sketches by Misses 15ctly 'Dunbar and Eileen Uood, with choruses, an amusing dialogue, and a scene from "Cranford." completed the evening. Miss Betty I'rancis contributed Paderiwski's "Minuet," At the conclusion the Hev. A. K. Norrie asked lor a vote of thanks for the girls and their leader, Mrs. Quiglcy. As a result of the entertainment, the Turaluna Maori iGirla' College will benefit to a considerable amount.
