MAIN ROAD BLOCKED
SLIP IN TAITA GORGE
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A big slip is reported to have fallen and completely blocked the Taita Gorge on the main road to Upper Hutt and the Wairarapa. No particulars are available, but it is stated that it will take some time to get the road clear. The gorge was blocked by a slip for several days last winter.
