AUSTRALIAN LOAN SCHEME
SATISFACTION IN LONDON
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, June 18.
The news that the Premiers’ conference accepted Mr. Brace's proposals regaiding the Commonwealth and State financial relations, has given great satisfaction in city circles, especially to people interested in Australian loans. So far there has been little press comment, but what there has been is decidedly favorable. For instance, the Daily Telegraph, writing before acceptance was known, says: “ There is no gainsaying the bold character Of the proposals, and if anything like them rs carried into effect' the result so far as Australia’s credit in London is concerned will undoubtedly be beneficial, and will assist the Federal and State Governments in their financial operations here ”
