£525 DAMAGES AWARDED
WOMAN'S CLAIM AGAINST COB

Claiming that she had received injuries through tre negligence of the City Corporation as n result of a tramcar being suddenly started, or started before she had time to board it, .lane Lauenson sought to recover £825 damages from the Wellington'City Corporation in the Supreme Court yesterday. After hearing evidence, the Chief- Justice, Sir Charles Skerrett, gave, judgment in favor of plaintiff for £525. The injuries received by plaintiff were statfd to be the result of an accident in Lambton Quay on December 4, 1926. When attempting to board a tram, plaintiff alleged that she was thrown to the ground and sustained a fracture of the left lemur, and other injuries. She claimed £325 special damages, including £loo' as loss of paying guests, and £525 as general damages.
