NORTH AND SOUTH IRELAND
NEGOTIATIONS FOR UNION. DUBLIN, April -11. Padrac O’Maille, deputy speaker of the Hail, states (and challenges contradiction of his assertion) that negotiations are afoot for a union of North and South Ireland. He says the Ulstermen have offered good terms to enter the Dublin Parliament, and another “deal” is being arranged by the Free State Government. O’Maille prophesies that eventually there will be two big parties >in all Ireland, namely Nationalists and Imperialists, all the smaller groups merging with them. The names of Lord Lascelles and Lord Londonderry are mentioned as among those who may possibly become the first Governor-General of a united Ireland.
