FILM TESTS SIDELIGHTS LGNDGN, May 2. Quaint letters were received by the London Faculty of Arts following an announcement that film tests would be given to aspirants at the cost of the taking of 100 ft. of film, for the purpose of combating bogus film schools and disillusioning film-struck persoms. The tests will be conducted in conjunction with leading producers, who promise that the candidates will bo encouraged. One letter says: “I am only 35, good-looking and full of romance. I could play the heroine, or tako out my false teeth and make a good hag. ”
