BAY OF PLENTY DOG TRIALS
(Special to the Herald.) OPOTIKI, this day. The Bay of Plenty Sheep Dog Trial Club's annual trials commenced on Tuesday and were continued yesterday. The weather was fine, but a cold wind was blowing. Mr. I\ Reid judged the .trials, which conclude today. TJie following are the results of the first two days:— Class 1, straight lumtawav: B. Mitchell's Toss (41pts) I, *A. H. Aider's Sharp (301) 2, ,T. Chalmers' Don (36) 3, .T.Breingan's Boy (331) 4. Class 2, short head, pull and hold in ring: B. Mitchell's Bough (41$pts) .1, G. Allison's Tweed (395) 2, C. T. Clark's Mutt (34) 3, C. Gordon's Bock (31) 4. Whakatano dogs are securing tho majority of the wins.
