MANAGER'S SUICIDE

WHILE IN DEPRESSED HEALTH (Per Pre« Association.) L CARTERTON, this day. At Kokotau, a farming settlement six miles from Carterton, Alban Wil-liam-King, a factory manager, was found dead at the back of his residence with a gun lying across his legs. Deceased was 35 years of age, and a married man with two children. He was employed at .the dairy factory for the past 10 years, and was popular in the district.

He rose yesterday morning as usual, and started tho factory boiler fire. Returning to the house for breakfast bo brought his motor car out for his wife and family to go to church, and they left at 7.45 a.m.

As rhe manager did not return to the factory, and carts were beginning to arrive, an assistant sent a message to tho house, and found King as described.

At the inquest the evidence showed lliat he had boon depressed over , tho state of his health, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
